Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show - Rockland, Maine

Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors ShowThe Maine Boats, Homes, and Harbors Show takes place each summer in Harbor Park in Rockland. Sponsored by Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Magazine, the show is a celebration of all things boats and the coastal lifestyle.

Maine’s finest artists, craftsmen, architects, boatbuilders, designers, marine gear vendors, furniture makers, and musicians gather together for a one-of-a-kind Maine experience. The show is the only in-water boat show in the state, and offers visitors more than 70 boats in the water and 150 exhibitors on land.

This three-day event offers something for everyone: a model yacht pond, live entertainment, a children’s area, a marine activities area, historic films, daily hands-on demonstrations, great food, and many, many boats.

Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors ShowThe show also features the annual Zucchini Boat Regatta. Maine’s craziest and most creative boatbuilders venture into the world of “green” boatbuilding by using zucchinis. That’s right – contestants build tiny boats out of zucchinis and then race them in the Model Pond.

And be sure you don’t miss the World Championship Boatyard Dog Trials, where pups and their owners compete in a series of odd tasks. Marina and boatyard dogs are invited to navigate an obstacle course, hop into dinghies, and dive into the water to retrieve lobster buoys. Judges hold up placards with paws on them – the more paws, the more points.

The show is a blend of history and innovation, of education and fun, of culture and industry.

Admission is $12. Children under 12 are free. Two and three-day passes are available.
